My Writing Growth: Disney Films

THIS IS MY STORY

Hi! My name is Vivian Vu and I am a freshmen at UCI. I am an undergraduate student majoring in Public Health Sciences. Science and math are clearly my strongest and most liked subjects. My weakest subject is writing, so I'm starting my writing journey at UCI in writing 39A with Professor Haas and I hope to improve my writing by taking this class. Hopefully it won't be too bad, but I know it will be a long journey 'til we reach the end of this class. Let's see how it goes by following my writing journey through the winter quarter.

THE CLASS

In writing 39A with Haas, we will learn how to improve our writing by learning the writing process. We will learn how to effectively read all sorts of media and in order to apply these media into our writing, with the utilization of peer review to improve our work.

The big question that will be answered by the end of the quarter will be how gender roles were constructed by Disney films. This will be out focus for the next few weeks as we go through many different media to give us an idea of the answer.
